Our Growers
At Wexford Home Preserves we are totally committed to always sourcing the best quality fruit and vegetables for our handmade artisan preserves.
Our policy, in place since the start, is to support local growers as much as possible.
We are lucky here in County Wexford that the soil conditions and climate are perfect for growing the most succulent, sweet and delicious fruit a benefit of being in the Sunny South East!
We really value our local growers like Malcolm Robertson (rhubarb and beetroot), Des Jeffares (blackcurrants), Christian von Englebrechton (apples), Eamon Crean (strawberries) and Pat Clarke (raspberries).
We can’t get citrus fruit here in Ireland though. We do the next best thing, we get all of our lemons, oranges, grapefruit, clementines and limes from two family run organic fruit farms in Seville and Il Biviere in Sicily.
Our family has been to visit their families several times and our whole team has been to Sicily. The inspiration everyone got from seeing where this wonderful fruit is grown and the work that goes into growing the best fruit in the world was wonderful!
Every time you taste any of our handmade, all natural, artisan preserves you are helping to support small family growers here in Ireland and further afield.
